On January 14, between 22:42 UTC and January 15, 19:07 UTC, we experienced an issue preventing US KYB enrichments via the Businesses API.
What Happened?
Our third-party data provider for US KYB enrichment deployed an update to their API that inadvertently rejected status update requests that were previously valid. This caused our enrichment process to fail for new businesses.
While our automated monitoring systems detected the error rate spike immediately, the resolution required intervention from the provider's engineering team, which extended the duration of the incident.
Why Did it Happen?
The provider introduced a strict validation logic preventing us from keeping the business status up to date. Our system, which ensures data consistency by confirming status, was blocked by this new rule.
